Applying for a Home Equity Loan

Tip! Always get hold of all the information of the home equity loan fees and charge before you sign the contract. Some home equity lenders feature packages.

Try sticking to this budget for 90 days then see where you are financially. If you need additional advice seek the consul of a trusted financial advisor.

After 90 days, your situation is not where you think it should be and you stuck to your budget, and then proceed to a home equity loan. Find someone you trust and that has a solid reputation before you apply for a home equity loan.

DON'T- Agree to a home equity loan if you know you don't have enough monthly income to make your payments.

* DON'T- Be pressured into signing anything you are unsure of.

* DON'T- Sign any documents in your home equity loan that you have not thoroughly read or that has blank spaces that are claimed to be filled in at a later date.

* DON'T- Sign the deed of your property over to anyone. Consult an attorney or someone you trust and has your best interest at heart.

* DON'T accept a home equity loan that includes extra products or any insurance you may not want.

Always remember, you want to put yourself in a position to win, do not accept anything else.
